Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

RSPB Stour Estuary Reserve

Enjoy trails up to five miles long as you stroll through a wood and watch wading birds, ducks and geese on the estuary. Shorter paths are wheelchair accessible in dry weather, but all the tracks can be muddy after rain. In spring, nightingales and other birds fill the woods with song. The spring flowers are also particularly beautiful. To see estuary birds, the best time to visit is during the autumn and winter.
Trails are open at all times, but the car park is locked from 7 pm (or dusk, whichever is earlier) until 6 am.
Free, but non-members are invited to make a voluntary donation.
No dogs allowed in Copperas Wood, or further east. Dogs not allowed onto foreshore. Dogs are allowed in Stour Wood, and along public rights of way elsewhere
